Problem Details:

Simple, osu! refuses to update nor start at all. Every time I start the program in question, its update interface restarts several thousand times. I have actually found some threads in question similar to my problem, but I tried all the possible solutions and nothing worked out.

What I tried...

Using the old installation file on the Download Page.
Moved osu in several different locations.
Run osu! as administrator.
Using an old zip file of the game to update.
Changed to CE.

for some reason, it says your are missing "Missing DLL files 'osu!spooky.dll, osu!seasonal.dll',"

osu spooky shouldnt be missing because it shouldnt be there, that was updated about a day ago since Halloween is over

have you tried uninstalling the game and re-installing it?

back up your important stuff first before you do so

Don't have much music files due to the fact I'm using a new OS, so yes. Though still I am stuck at this point with the updater just restarting.

Hmm seems like I was finally able to get out of update hell for some reason ._.

Able to start the client without any issues, so I guess I can say this problem is now resolved.

plus this user's issue is pretty strange and has been up there for hours with no reply.

re-installing is fine as long as he backs up his data (which is pretty much his beatmaps , replays , and game settings) before doing so.

if his client works fine afterwords, it could have been the client that was acting up. if his problem persisted, then there is a deeper underlining issue that needs to be found.
