As the title states, I want to have a new convertible laptop, did my research and I couldn't find one good enough or cheap enough...
so I got here to ask to the infinite fountain of wisdom (?)

and no, I don't want to create an account on another forum just for this...
Any suggestions are welcome, but I actually have some specific features:
  • -It MUST have a RESISTIVE touchscreen, or anything that detects levels of pressure (mean: no capacitive) (this should have one or two digitizer included)
-A screen as big or bigger than 10"
-A processor with a higher rate than 2.10Ghz (preferably Intel)
-Preferably it has an HDD, SSD's would make it way too expensive =/
-It has WIndows7 built in...I've read that XP is unstable with touchscreen and Vista is way too heavy
    -(optionally) 2GB of RAM
-a maximum cost of 1200-1500 USD
(Would be more if dollars weren't too expensive >w<)
Put anything you find, I'll figure something out
I already have found a laptop that fulfills these requirements (and more!!), Fujitsu Lifebook T730 (the $1199 one) but sadly, here in Venezuela there aren't (almost) any Fujitsu supplies, mean: it damages, there's no way of recovery...

there are only excessively popular brands: sony, samsung, compaq, HP... but feel free to post any you find!

any technical information for the laptop is also welcomed (be it in-depth analysis, comparison...)

If you think that the fujitsu is already fine as is...or if you know that the fujitsu is a sturdy one... tell me so! if it happens to be very sturdy, then I may change mind and go for it =P

IF ANYONE SUGGESTS BLACKBERRY PLAYBOOK, THAT PERSON INSTANTLY LOSES MY RESPECT...

Thanks everyone in advance!! ^w^

Look at some of the thinkpad tablet laptops

I'm too lazy to check if it's resistive or not but they're a very good brand

Lower your expectations and/or raise your budget.

Try one of the Acer brand laptops. Nice and looks sleek.

It's such a shame that Acer have horrible customer post-sales support though. I have never liked anything Acer brings out as it still feels overpriced for what they (barely) offer.

As Jarby has stated, don't expect much from the price range you've offered unless you decide to up your shopping budget.
