With the recent removal of tiers, there's been an average of 7-8 maps qualified per day. Because only 6 qualified maps can be ranked per day, there’s a buildup of qualified maps growing. With over 90 sets, it now takes more than two weeks for one to get ranked.
While one solution could be to permanently increase the number of qualified maps ranked per day from 6 to 7/8, it may be an issue for long-term when there are fewer qualified maps (eg. during exam season).
My suggestion is that when a threshold number of maps are in qualified (eg. 60-70), the daily limit on ranked maps will be increased from 6 per day to 8. Once the number of qualified maps goes below the threshold again, it will be lowered back to 6.
This change accommodates for when there are more sets in qualified than what the current system is used to, and helps lower the qualification period from 15 days to its intended 7.
The system might be fine now and the number of qualified maps might go back down again, but the community is growing. Rules like this need to be updated to accommodate for the increasing number of beatmaps and BNs.
