I really appreciate the extensive mod!
Whats the deal with backgrounds not all being the same?
Vulkin and xtrem3x wanted to use different backgrounds for their diffs. Is it actually unrankable in taiko?
00:23:788 - suggest filling in all the gaps like 00:26:058 - 00:31:247 - and using some variance within the kiai? I dunno, spice it up?
Mentioned in Inner Oni: I couldn't find good patterns without making kiai sound too chaotic, so I just went for consistency. Not a very good reason, I know.
About the gaps: those are (supposed to be) breaks. I think it's a good idea, even if it's kiai.
Not really much to say, I kind of felt like it was awkward around this section 00:47:139 - 00:57:518 - , I think the use of triplets was kinda meh. But I have no hard feelings towards it either way.
Yeah, I'm not really comfortable with mapping easy diffs. I wanted to avoid diff spikes, which is why I used breaks so often.
00:01:734 - 00:11:950 - really overmapped, imo, just cut down a little bit and follow the vocals more closely.
I see your point here, but I wanted to separate it from 00:37:085, which is the calmest part of the song. If other people make the same suggestion, of course, I'll change it.
Kiai section needs some variation like the Futsuu.
I wanted to do this from the start, but I couldn't think of usable patterns without it sounding... very chaotic. In the end, I went for consistency (even though it's a bit boring to play).
00:33:518 (79,80,81,82,83,84,85) - all this is just a bad idea lol, probably keep the finisher a D and the 1/6...I recommend removing that.
If you're referring to the finisher at 00:33:518 - I used K at [00:28:328], [00:30:923], etc. This is more consistent imo.
About the 1/6: I wanted to do something to signal the end of kiai. I deleted the note at 00:33:761, so it should be fine to play now.
00:34:491 - d k k d k k d kkk d kkk d (kkkd) is a lot more simple and just makes this not so complicated for no reason, gets the point across.
00:41:220 (32,33) - Recommend completely deleting these. I just can't support so much 1/4 in a really quiet section
I know you have a point, but the 1/4 is supposed to help "rebuild the flow" in a way. Without it, the breakless section at 00:46:653 seems a bit extreme.
00:43:409 - Remove for like flow, less clutter
01:17:788 - just probably make this ddkdk. I can excuse the 1/6 before this one but this one is silly.
I wanted this to be an offhand pattern, but you do have a point. Applied change.
01:20:382 - ...probably dont do this either. Just delete.
Applied, and changed a note to d.
01:23:139 - 1/6 is mediocre here too so just kkkkD works fine.
I think it's fine, to mark the end of this kiai section.
01:25:734 - again I might allow this one but it seems very unnecessary.
It's just before the last kiai, so I think it's fine.
Idk. Inner Oni definitely needs some work, looks a lot like my early maps but with added 1/6 spam. Not necessarily a bad thing but it just feels like big big overmapping.
Yep, this was one of my first 5*+ maps; the original had even more 1/6 spam.
I wanted the difficulty of the map to increase as it progressed. I tried saving 1/6 for "intense" sections of the song, but I might've overdone it a bit...
*Nerfed Inner Oni further after discussion with strickluke.
The note density isn't perfect, but the set should be more balanced now.
