Got this one out slightly faster than other recent releases. Hopefully I can keep up the pace. Quite a few things to look forward to in this release - especially if you deide to help out by donating, which now means you get access to the subscription service osu!direct. More details on this will be coming shortly, once payment options are verified. In case anyone is going to start panicing: this does not mean osu! will no longer be free. All gameplay and editing options will never cost money, but a few bonuses such as in-game downloading will be available to those who contribute towards the ongoing costs of hosting this game.

The Auto mod makes some errors if you play a ridiculously hard song, more if you put mods on.

It doesn't seem to make the same errors in the same places every time, either, which is strange

JarJar: I can tell you that it does not make errors on a new computer. (2.6 dual core, 4 gigs ram) It must have something to do with all those sprites being created and then destroyed.

I'll look into the inaccuracies you are experiencing and aim to have it fixed for next build. Replays should be independent of system specs, so I'm sure this is a small bug somewhere.

After updating , whenever I try to start osu! I get this:

Your graphics card does not support Shader Model 1.1+.
Unfortunately, support is required to play osu!
Please upgrade your graphics card to something made after 2002 (that isn't a geforce mx model)
You will be directed to a thread with further information.

It's always worked before, so...
now im afraid of updating cause my graphics card was not in the comparabilti list and it works fine so if i update i might get this too........... ummm can i get some feedback on this?
Actually, it's working fine now. Something was changed when I updated that made my firewall prevent osu! from accsessing the internet, which somehow gave me a graphics error :/

...It's almost satisfying to know that a bot can't get full 300. ._.

That makes sense, as this laptop isn't exactly new, and Auto makes even more mistakes with Shader Effects on.

Spun Out isn't fast enough to get 300's on some really short spinners, like the ones on the Hatsune Miku version of THIS IS SPARTA!!! Not a big deal, either, as it's an unranked mod, but changing the spin speed to be able to get at least a 300, instead of a set speed, would work.

peppy, this release was fantastic and done in such a short time.

Please forgive my complaints from earlier today about the song title text appearing. It has grown on me and I like it now and would be upset if I could turn it off.

As I think Zerostarry said, "What's the point of a new feature if you always put a toggle to turn it off ?" He's right.

The Spun Out and Automatic mods are great. Even if Auto gets a few 100s or 50s, I don't think that's worth complaining about, especially if it's with full difficulty increasing mods on. It's a great mod for seeing how maps work, not seeing how maps work when made extremely difficult and impossible for human play.

You've been working hard on these releases and I plan to subscribe and if I get a new job (which I plan to), to donate money to Osu! in addition to subscribing every month.

Nice release peppy. :)

However, I'm not too keen on the bright yellow, non transparent 'unranked' text that's displayed at the top center of the screen when the spun out mod is enabled. I find the message very annoying and distracting, and I find it's almost worth not using the spun out mod at all just to get rid of the text on the screen.

I'm not sure what the reason was for placing the unranked text on the screen throughout a game, rather than displaying it on the screen at the start of a beatmap and then fading it out after a few seconds. It also seems strange that the unranked text is displayed on the screen when playing on sections of a beatmap with hit circles and sliders, but then the text disappears whenever a spinner comes on the screen. Which IMO, the spinners are exact time the unranked text should be on the screen with the spun out mod enabled, rather than the other way round.

I'll wait to hear other people's responses about this one. I am happy to leave it always visible, as it feels more natural to me.

The unranked message is displayed on the screen at all times (except for spinners) when playing on beatmaps with any unranked mods enabled, such as relax, taiko, spun out, and auto.

Mods only, I think
oh, reading..... It's in the top-left corner of osu at song select, if that's what you mean
Ekaru
To be more detailed... there's the online offset, then there's your 'custom offset'. The online one is made by mods, the custom offset for a map is made by you while in a map. Press the - and = keys on your keyboard while in play to adjust the offset for a beatmap (only for YOU, though, and only for that difficulty). Also, apparently the online offset automatically adjusts for you, so Beethoven Virus is...see for yourself!

Oh and Saturos informed me of how this works. Well I think it was him. Might've been SFG jk
