I know there is a ranked version already, but I love this song, so here is my attempt at it.

I'm using a skin elements I found in the follow skins (Nexus by Xiao and Okami 1.3 by Atmey)

I did not make them!. Xiao has given me permission to use his skin.

It sounds pretty precise. yay :D

General:
WOW the hitsound volume is really loud even at 70%. I suggest you lower it just a bit more.
You are not allowed to have a completely silenced section, make the last inherited section of 0% to at least 5% to be rankable.
Also is the mp3 supposed to fade out like that randomly near the middle? it sounds quite bad.
Remove that ending kiai time, it doesnt fit at all.

Easy:
00:20:080 (1) - remove new combo here please.
01:24:079 (1,2,3,4) - make like sort of a creative shape instead of just a straight line? it looks a bit boring but keep if you want.
02:57:413 (1,2,1) - dont hide sliders under each other like this please. i believe it might be unrankable. a slight or completely intended overlap is okay but this looks weird.

Normal:
00:13:413 (1) - remove new combo here?
00:17:413 (4) - add new combo here and also move to right right 1 grid point so its on the y-axis symmetrically.
00:25:857 (1) - move this to the left 1 grid point so its symmetrical on the y-axis?
01:04:302 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4) - this stream of half notes just might be a bit hard for Normal players.

- Why you use a soft-hitnormal that sound like a normal-hitsound? The soft sounds fit better with the song imo.

I use normal hitsounds mixed with soft, because it feels nicer IMO.

Uh, Used some of your things for easy and normal. But left Hard mostly untouched.

00:30:746 (1,2,3) - you use grid 4 ,use full 1.2x, not 1.15x. When sliders/notes are not overlapping it looks better. High distance helps to avoid ovelaps
01:04:524 (1) - symmetrical sliders looks better in center of screen
02:25:857 (1) - too long slider, try to map harder in this place (you can leave it, but make shorter)
02:33:413 (1) - ^
02:43:635 (1) - not perfect circle ;D

02:16:746 (3,4) - I will try my best to explain why this part has wrong tming: It matches the overall beat but doesn't follow your focus of the bass-vibe if that was what you wanted to achieve here (and you should! as this is the most dominant part here). You can fix this by using a circle on the starting point of (3) instead of the slider and us a 1x repeat slider from 02:16:968 (white tick) to 02:17:635 (red tick) (the repeat should be on the blue tick @02:17:302): http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/145770 please ignore the object placement in this screen and the fact this is from the next point, just look at the beat placement in the timeline to see what I mean.

Hit circle at 01:07:857 and hit circle at 01:08:746 I think should be swapped places.
The Idea is that beatmap would go like that:
1) 01:06:524 - 01:07:413 the distances gradually increase
2) 01:07:413 - 01:07:857 the distances are the same (biggest one) and mouse goes on same line
3) 01:07:857 - 01:08:746 the distances gradually decrease (and then u have 2 hit circles at same place)
As it is now you have change of pace right in the middle (where 2nd combo starts)

01:04:079 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - Wuuuuuut, so many 1/2 together in a normal diff. Place some 1/1 spaced sliders/notes between them so you make it more suitable to a normal diff.

01:27:191 ~ 01:48:524 - This whole part is too hard for a normal diff. My suggestion is that you try to keep a 1/1 pace.

02:25:857 - Don't use 1,5x for this whole section, since it's suddenly so fast. If anything, use 1,2x at max. It doesn't fits how the slider velocity suddenly goes fast after a part where the song doesn't change from calm to fast part.

02:58:746 (3,4,5) - Better not stack these, since it suddenly changes from 1/2 to a bit longer notes.

01:06:969 (3,4) - AIMod says me, that it's a mini-jump. It plays ok, but I personally think, that 01:04:079 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3) can be difficult to some normal players.
So you use that twisted placing many times: 00:24:079 (1,2,3,4), 00:38:302 (1,2,3,4,5,6), 01:00:746 (2,3), 01:13:857 (2,3,4,5), 01:20:968 (2,3,1,2), 02:50:746 (1,2,1,2)
also some spacing inconstances: 00:16:524 (1,2,3), 00:34:302 (1,2,3,4), 00:36:302 (1,2,1), 01:04:079 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4), 01:13:857 (2,3,4,5), 01:20:968 (2,3,1,2,3), 01:35:190 (2,3,4,5,6,7) and more - 1.28x-1.1x.
Yeah, nazi a bit, but all these things make this diff harder and not so polish like others. I see, some people say it already in their mods. So try to make less overlaps, use grid level 4 and get it closer to 3.5 stars. It will be better for diff spread.

I will divide this post into stuff you would better fix and suggestions, so take a look at both.

[General]:
  1. Offset 90. It's not that noticeable due to low OD, but when testplaying in the editor, I had 7-12ms late on everything pretty much. With 90, I had between 2ms early and 3ms late, so that felt much much better.
[Hard]:
  1. 00:14:302 - Better add a note here. It's important for the rhythm. Also, for consistency since this is the only big white tick around this area that's not mapped, while the song does have something on that timeline.
  2. 00:55:191 (1) - Should probably remove this new combo.
  3. 01:20:968 (2) - Is the clap on the start intentional? Considering you were mapping 2nd and 4th white ticks, this one breaks that concept.
  4. 01:24:524 (2) - Not sure if intentional, but are you missing a clap here?

  1. Skin: I don't like nexus skin on a song like this. Considering you were trying to fuse 2 skins, it came out okay, but the major let down for me were the combo colors and the slider border. Ice has a light blueish color, and you used a monochromatic one, to make stuff worse you used gray slider border which looks terrible on your blue color. You don't have to change anything if you don't want to, but I strongly suggest to make the 2nd color light blue instead of gray, also use a light blue or white slider border.
    You also don't have anything for the spinner, Default spinner looked pretty awkward with all those warm colors.
    Sliderscorepoint.png looked weird with it's dark colors as well.
  2. 00:44:524 - Don't think this break is necessary at all in easy and normal diffs, the song is quite calm and considering how easy Easy really is, you should probably just map it. Just a suggestion ofcourse.

  3. Probably could have used more sliders, just my personal opinion which has nothing to do with your map I guess.

I could probably say more what I think about this, but it's not important, the mapset is really solid and it's a very good map for a first map.

Double check all your claps so they fit the claps in the actual music. You can download AIBat which can export the clap hitsounds as bookmarks so you can get a visual cue as well as the audible cue.

  1. "approachcircle.png" is too big (140x140). Resize it to 128x128.
  2. It is not allowed to skin out sliderpoints. Yours also exceed the maximum allowed size (41x29 for the 10 one, 48x29 for the 30 one).
  3. "sliderscorepoint.png" is too big (40x40). Resize it to 32x32.
  4. I think it'd be better to make the light on the borders of the slider-followcircle to go all around the circle. Right now, they go around it a bit, then teleport back to their starting point, which looks weird.
  5. Correct offset is 1863. That's like -4ms from yours, except it's on the right beat. Yours is a measure before where it should be. Remember to resnap all notes and kiai sections.

  • I am genuinely extremely surprised. This diff is pretty good and the slider are very well-made, especially for a first map. I'll just leave a few comments though:
  1. 00:12:090 (1) - As good as this is, the overlap makes it look worse than it should. Also, the circle in it could be improved: althought the outer border looks fine, the inner border looks a bit weird. Anyway. Make the circle a bit larger to avoid the overlap ?
  2. 01:40:089 (1) - Move this slider's end a bit upwards so that the slider blankets 01:37:423 (1) - ?
  3. 02:14:312 (5) - This slider breaks the comboing. Its end is where a new combo should be in the diff, making the comboing inconsistent at that point. You'll have to rework the whole pattern to fix it though, so you can refuse to fix it, that's fine.
  4. 02:16:978 (4) - This slider's end is too close to the circle. =(

The 5-beat 1/4 stacks are ok in my opinion.

00:42:751 (5) - It's better not to make it a repeat slider and continue with notes. Right now it feels kind of awkward after the repeat.
01:08:529 (3) - Make sure the repeat arrow is entirely visible.
01:36:974 (6) - You forgot the claps on this one

Ok, done it all. I was a little reluctant to change the stream in hard, considered another slider, but I just deleted a few notes and it still plays very nice :)

· Kiai Times are currently not snapped. It's just a tiiiny difference but I'd snap them just in case ;)

Hard.-
01:48:974 (1,2,3,4,5) - The spacing kinda bugs me, considering that (1,2) are one beat apart and have the same spacing than the other notes, that are just half a beat apart

Fixed all of above issues, for hard @ 02:47:863 (4,5,6) , I played with it, till it looked better ingame ;)
