How the heck do you skin menu click sounds?

I've downloaded multiple skins where the menu click sounds are different from the default, but I have no idea how to change it in my own skin. It still sound like the default.

Could someone please explain why that is?

Check out the wiki on skinning sounds, it lists all of the sound files (.wav is prioritized, mp3 and ogg should also work) that you can skin. The Keys, Clicks and Hover section should be what you're looking for.
