From my queue t/594747

22:49 strickluke: hey
22:49 [-TSG-]: yea
22:49 strickluke: can i do an irc for the mod that you requested in my queue?
22:49 [-TSG-]: if u want to
22:49 strickluke: alright
22:50 strickluke: i think i want to start by saying that the bpm is x2 the amount that it should be
22:50 strickluke: since i assume you wont be mapping the extremely high bpm background drums
22:51 strickluke: also, did you change the mp3 to add that last sound?
22:51 [-TSG-]: no it came like that
22:51 strickluke: alright
22:51 strickluke: it sounds very unnatural to me imo
22:51 [-TSG-]: was the only one i could get that wasnt over 20min xD
22:52 strickluke: i think what you need is some advice on overall difficulties
22:52 strickluke: kantan diffs should very rarely have 1/2
22:52 strickluke: mostly white tick rhythm
22:52 strickluke: futsuu diffs can have some 1/2, but never any 1/4
22:52 strickluke: muzukashii can have 1/4 rarely
22:53 strickluke: oni can have 1/4 and very rarely some 1/6
22:53 strickluke: inner oni can have anything playable
22:54 [-TSG-]: im bad at mapping lower diff xd i always end up overmapping it
22:54 strickluke: a good way to not overmap is to lock on 1/1 in the beat snap divisor in the top right corner
22:54 strickluke: but like i said
22:55 strickluke: first, halve the bpm on the timing points
22:55 strickluke: 263--> 131.5
22:55 strickluke: 230-->115
22:56 strickluke: i think you might have to remap this... me and a BN are looking at it now
22:56 strickluke: the timing problems are too extreme to ignore on this mp3
22:58 strickluke: i think what you might have to do is get a mp3 cut out of the extended version
22:58 strickluke: instead of having that really weird outro
22:59 [-TSG-]: yea but wont it drop to around 28 seconds?
22:59 strickluke: not sure about that
22:59 [-TSG-]: oh wait
22:59 [-TSG-]: i was think of another map nvrmind that
22:59 strickluke: it would be ~40s i think
22:59 [-TSG-]: xD
22:59 strickluke: yeah like 43 seconds
23:00 [-TSG-]: i mean i can munauly cut it
23:00 [-TSG-]: i just need to find the programe on my pc, idk what it was called xd
23:00 strickluke: audacity
23:00 strickluke: i think i can do it for you, though
23:00 [-TSG-]: yes that, thanks
23:00 [-TSG-]: its fine i can do it :3
23:01 strickluke: ok then
23:01 strickluke: let me give you an mp3 of the 30 min version
23:01 strickluke: your best guess will be doing a studio fade effect after the second intense part
23:02 strickluke: then it comes out to 43-44 seconds long, which is rankable
23:02 strickluke: http://puu.sh/vZMSs/8caefb2a50.mp3
23:04 strickluke: and after all of this is fixed... i would suggest remapping at the fixed bpm
23:04 strickluke: with hitsound at 50%
23:05 strickluke: or, whatever sounds right
23:05 strickluke: but make sure it isnt too loud with the new version of the mp3
23:05 [-TSG-]: Ok sounds good :3
23:05 strickluke: and keep my tips above in mind for the kinds of rhythms
23:05 strickluke: they are very important and will prevent your map from being ranked in the future if you do not follow them
23:06 strickluke: its beneath where you said "was the only one under 20 min"
23:07 strickluke: ok, im going to save this chat and post to forums, since i am very sleepy
23:07 strickluke: good luck with cutting the mp3 and this mapset in general :)

Kantan:

00:06:694 (14) - Get rid of this note for consistency (this is important in a Kantan diff)

You should not have any notes land on blue ticks throughout this entire difficulty. Those are complex rhythms that do not belong in a Kantan diff. For example, a few slider ends are on blue ticks, and they should pretty much always end on white or red ticks, even for Inner Oni difficulties. Another place where notes are on blue ticks is here 00:22:802 (3) - in this section of the song. Do not have these, use primarily white tick or 1/1 rhythm in Kantan diffs.

Futsuu:

1/4 double is unrankable on Futsuu diffs... use 1/4 only for Muzukashii and up

00:14:462 (49) - Make this a d so that the next part is more emphasized

For the kiai times I think that a better rhythm would look something like this

...

...

You need to remap a few of these lower difficulties because of the fixed bpm, otherwise they are too dense.

Good luck on your set! :)

Thanks for the help and i hope the audio sounds fine :3
Surono
7mb size, how much the kbps of this mp3? you could reduce it to 192kbps or delete unused file if its there and the preview of this song in website seems error rip. *earsraep*

OMG David Wise <3 Let me mod this right away
Heya ~ Random mod!
• 00:14:691 - The Kiai time should start from here
• 00:14:691 (30) - Shouldn't this and the other sliders be ending on the white tick? (for exemple on 00:15:147 - for this one)
• 00:00:753 (3) - Change to a don to put the emphasize on 00:00:524 (2) - and differenciate with 00:02:352 (8,9) -
• 00:01:667 (6) - Change to a kat since it sounds similar to 00:01:438 (5) -
○ If you applied the previous suggestion then change 00:05:323 (17) - to a kat for the same reasons
> Your Kiai time looks messy , I suggest you remap the entire Kiai time on this one and follow this structure :
○ 00:14:691 - kat ; 00:15:147 - kat
○ 00:15:833 - kat ; 00:16:061 - kat ; 00:16:290 - don
○ 00:16:518 - kat ; 00:16:975 - kat
○ 00:17:661 - kat ; 00:17:889 - kat ; 00:18:118 - don
○ 00:18:346 - kat ; 00:18:803 - kat
(etc.) Feel free to change the hitsounds of course
• 00:23:601 (5) - Change to a kat for the same reasons as on the first part of the map (same with 00:27:257 (17) -)
• 00:29:314 - From here to the kiai time try to follow the exact same structure you did from 00:22:002 - to 00:29:314 -
> Remap the second kiai time to follow the exact same structure as the first one if you followed my suggestion
• Your kiai time really could use some breaks - Try removing the notes right after the triplets :
○ 00:15:376 (25) - Remove
○ 00:17:204 (34) - ^
○ 00:19:032 (43) - ^
○ 00:20:860 (1) - ^
> Same suggestion then with your second kiai time
• 00:26:571 (12) - You could remove this note to reduce this long stream of notes that would be way to similar to the Kiai times' density
○ 00:33:883 (12) - ^
> The density is way too different from the Muzukashii and the previous difficulties ; There's going to be a lot of things to rework here
• 00:01:553 (12) - Change to a kat since it sounds the same as 00:01:438 (11) - [Just like you did with 00:05:209 (10) - ]
• Either remove 00:02:010 (16) - or add a note on 00:02:124 -
• 00:04:866 (8) - Imo. There's no real reasons for this note be a don just to differenciate from the first half of this part
• 00:06:808 (22) - Remove this note for to create a better flow
> The Kiai time is wayyy too dense in comparison to the Muzukashii ; I think you should remap it with a lighter / easier structure
This is just way too overmapped
I hope I helped.
There's going to be a lot of work here but don't give up, we need more David Wise songs to be ranked in osu!
Good luck!

Heya ~ Random mod!
• 00:14:691 - The Kiai time should start from here < yea it was cuz of i had to reduce Bpm, so i had to fix a ton of stuff. thanks for pointing this one out, i would have missed it

This is just way too overmapped < Well It does sorta match and playable, but ill patch it up to make it neater :3
I hope I helped.
