Synopsis (for those who haven't seen it yet)

"With dreams of becoming a composer and someday writing a song for her favorite idol, Haruka enters the Saotome Academy, a prestigious performing arts school. If successful there, she’ll be able to join the Shining Agency after graduation. However, it won’t be so easy when Haruka is already surrounded by potential idols and composers. On top of that, her homeroom teacher is a current idol, the headmaster was a record-breaking singer, and the academy itself is a chaotic place where anything can happen. Which prince will be paired up with Haruka?!"


The plot doesn't make much sense (there really isn't one). It's just another simple reverse harem. One of the funniest RH I've seen in a while - although, I think more than half the moments that make me rofl weren't even meant to be funny *shrug*

Also, I regularly watch the opening of Episode 1 on repeat whenever I'm feeling down. It's a damn shame they shrunk it and took out the amazing fan-girl kyaaa-ing in the ending.

Since I've reset the poll you'll have to vote again naptime, sorry T_T

I miss the fangirl screams in the ending too (currently mapping the ending song - not sure if I'll finish it though - but with the video from the first ep concert. Right now I'm debating if I should use the vocals that have the screaming or not since without them the song seems lacking)

Speaking of OPs - I used to hate the current op once it switched in ep 2 because I loved the concert op soo much. After watching ep 4 now...I think it's starting to grow on me o.o...or maybe it's the exploding birds at the end, dunno ^_^


I was reluctant to start watching this since the last reverse harem I've saw got boring really fast (starry sky). I try to watch the first ep of every new series, so I gave this one a try (besides, it's probably the closest thing to bl I'll get this season considering No.6 only has 1/4 of the fanservice it does in the manga). First episode starts with a concert op - dat choreography, lmao

I watch each episode now waiting to find out what new power Haruka can do with her eyes. That countdown at the end is the highlight of my sitting and I watch each episode anticipating it.

My fav bishie atm is Shinomiya Natsuki >w<


ps: Naptime, how did you feel about Wakamoto not appearing in episode 4?

Even if it's a supporting character I'll watch it if there's Norio Wakamoto. Now if only Tomokazu Sugita is one of the cast then it'll be perfect :P

Just watched ep4. It was alright, but only because of Hijirikawa moments. Not really fond of this ladykiller guy. Also obviously intercoms in idol schools filter your voice and add cool effects and back up singers and drums and have studio quality.

I got a hostile/jealous vibe from Hijirikawa when all those girls were fawning over Ladykiller (Ren who? :P). He practically snapped at Haruka and the others to stop complementing LK and get back to practicing. Their pairing becomes more canon with every episode XD (since neither Hijirikawa nor Ren look like they'll even come close to being with Haruka in the end).

This is probably the reason why naptime isn't fond of LK. *notices Ren has 0 votes* OMG Naptime! That is no reason to sabotage the poll!

You'll just have to accept it, naptime. Hijirikawa belongs to someone else

Does that scene on eps 4 a reference on Kuroshitsuji? cause young Rreally resemble to a certain someone
And I think Tokiya and Hijirikawa are overlapping each other with their cool silence atitude

I found it funny that the Norio Wakamoto also voiced the director in Idolmaster

Yup, it was a kuroshitsuji ref (yay sallad \o/) - In that scene they look and act just like I'd imagine a young Ciel and Alois would.

The do seem similar, a bit in looks and the silent attitude, but Hijirikawa has a quiet/indifferent personality while Tokiya, atm, comes off as arrogant and unsocial.

True, well Tokiya haven't really got any major screen time except for appearing here and there so I guess it safe to say that his true personality hasn't really shown yet
