I am starting my journey in making maps, and I see that there is the option to add bookmarks as little indicators throughout the song. However I thought that it would be useful if you could label these. So when you have an idea for the map that you want to write down, you can add a bookmark at a certain point in the song and then write down that idea as a reminder or indicator.
It would be kind of like commenting pieces of code, which helps to visualise what's going on.
So for instance I might have the idea to change the direction of flow at an apex in the song. I don't want to forget this idea so I add a note to the bookmark at that point that says "change flow direction here". Then I could add more notes for different ideas and help lay out the structure of how I want the map to be.
Or, it could be useful when modding maps too. If someone is modding a map and see a strange pattern choice, but the mapper has left a note explaining the thinking process, then the modder would understand and it would lead to a more constructive mod.
I searched for this idea and couldn't find any so sorry if it was already suggested, but I would find this very useful and I'm sure other players would too ^v^
