Never did get around to properly coming and having a thorough look through the forums when I first had a peak through everything after stumbling upon osu the first time around.
Thought I'd actually do one of these 'introduce yourself' threads due to sheer boredom driving me to it, so... Onto the formalities!
Used to play what was called 'professional FPS gaming' in the Cybergamer invitational leagues for COD4 but after getting past all that and looking back, it was an awful waste of time on such a skill-less game as all I played it for was the prizes.
Thankfully one of my online acquaintances directed me to osu! and I quit playing COD4 about a week or two afterwards since this game is intensely fun (which is what a game should be, not a chore) and managed to get talking to a few decent (non egotistical) people early on which left a nice feeling about this community from the get go.
Either way, I'm one of the various AusOsu players that are around and I hope to get along well with the current 'residents' of my new home and place to stay.
Side note - I'm a fairly avid Japanese culture, anime and manga fan, so if you're looking for someone to chat about it I'm keen.
