I don't know how taiko scores are calculated but how is it possible that someone with lower combo and lower accuracy (like 10% lower) can end up getting higher scores than me,the misses are more than what I did too.

There are 4 main reasons why this can happen,

Reason 1: Taiko combo only matters up to 100 Combo and each break while at 100 combo drops the score about 44000 (ignoring finishers) so for reason 1 could be that even though your best combo was greater and you had less misses they could have still had "less breaks at 100 combo".

Reason 2: could be that they achieved more bonus points: i.e. They completed spinners, sliders or hit more finishers properly.

Reason 3: Mods increase score by a significant margin and could be what causes the score difference

Reason 4: Some sections of the song are called Kiai time which gives all notes during these section increased score value (20% extra points per note) so getting low ACC or missing during a Kiai section of a map will penalize a greater loss of points. (Btw Kiai time is the part of the song where the screen glows and the don character starts dancing)

I had a kinda ridiculous experience. I multi-ed once with two others with them only getting B's but still having higher scores than my S because we were playing an easy song, which was full of sliders. (Back then I had no idea how to hit those)

Some do NF with a cocktail of other mods, hitting no notes, only sliders and spinners, rightfully getting a D but managing to grab a place in the top 5, for the fun of it

The hilarious part is mods don't affect bonus points from sliders (although DT makes it harder to hit all the ticks) so a common way people will get high scores on slider heavy easy auto-converts is with the HT mod so they can make sure they get every slider tick

Absolutely... don't know if ridiculous or smart :?
Don't think the method's that common though, just saying.
Always interesting to see people 'exploit' the game's mechanics
