This could be a terrible idea (mainly because I haven't thought about the negatives) but it just passed through my head when I was in editor setting up a new song to map.
Sometimes songs will have 2 or more of the same part in the music, and I thought it could really help me for organization. Before I map songs, I like to go through the whole song and plan out parts (i.e. where the kiai's will go, distinguish slow parts from fast parts, etc.).
I feel this would also help when you start mapping the song. I like to use similar rhythms/patterns for identical parts of the music and having color coded inherit points would help a lot for navigation on the timeline and referencing what you previously mapped.
What do you guys think?
