[Archived] can't update osu or connect to bancho

Problem Details:
i was playing osu and then a few stuff stoped working, like viewing replays and uploading screenshots, so i decided to restart my osu client and then it took me to the osu! updater which displayed a internet connection error, dispite being connected to the internet.
I tried rebooting my laptop several times and re-installing osu! but it didnt reslove the problem.
I disabled anivirus and firewall yet no change.
ive seen other threads but no help

Try releasing and renewing your ipconfig, and flushing your DNS.

Google should be able to tell you exactly how to do so.

nvm, i managed to get online by using the old installer for osu! thanks anyway

Please don't double post, just edit your last post if you're adding information

I suggest in taking Method 5 and see if that fixes it
Method 1: Antiviruses or Firewall
  1. Try checking if your antivirus isn't blocking osu! From connecting
Method 2: IP conflicts
  1. Try turning off your router by unplugging it and wait for 5 minutes before turning it on again.
Method 3: Reset adapter
  1. Try disabling ethernet adapter then enable it again

Method 4: DNS Cache
  1. Try clearing DNS
    1. Open up run (Windows logo + R)
    2. Type cmd and press enter
    3. Type ipconfig /flushdns and press enter

Method 5: Try using a VPN
  1. You can try using a VPN like [lucky:1337]Psiphon[/lucky:1337] and see if it works from there
    Just download from the website and open it, after it connects try again.

hi, did you fix this problem ??? Because I'm having a trouble trying to log in bancho and I don't know what to do...

I'm also having an issue logging into bancho, it wants me to verify (even though it says I have on the website)

By any chance do you use mac?

After logging out of both, please wait a few minutes. Then log back into the website, then into the client.
