I know this may duplicate but previous post is locked and past 6 years still nothing changed so I decided to write a new topic. (t/52873?hilit=free+ar)

Currently osu!standard's ar system is not good. As I know, on every other rhythm game, it does not matter what approach speed of note is. And every rhythm game provides a feature to change approach rates as I know. They provide that feature because someone can prefer slow notes while others prefer fast ones and a note's speed have nothing to do with real map. All users are playing same map whether notes are fast or not. It is totally different from changing OD, CS because it indicates different map. And, if you think adjusting ar is breaking balance or ruins a map, then you should ban all players using gamma adjust because it changes approach rate recognized by your eyes.

Even ctb and taiko's original game (each EZ2Catch, Taiko no tatsujin) provides approach rate adjusting. Only standard's original (Ouendan) don't have one because it doesn't have many maps and it's difficulty distribution is not wide.

Games that should not provide adjustable approach rate are shooting game, not a rhythm game..

To short : make ar user customizable.

You already linked the duplicate post. Age doesn't matter. The only problem here is that it cannot be revived since it's locked.

Also, Taiko AR is based on SV, and it will constantly fluctuate, so that will likely not work

Sorry I don't know this board's system well. but..
Then locked requests do not have the opportunity to be added, no matter how useful? :( or it just postponed?
I wanted to add my opinion but I can't because it is locked.

and I think Taiko AR could implemented like mania AR.

Locked requests can still be added, people just can't support it or give additional suggestions
