Also why simulate LR2 when you can play LR2? Game rules are arbitrary so you shouldn't really limit your practice to any boundaries imo. There's no magical threshold or anything. Mash pass or SS or otherwise, if you improve, you improve.

On dividing keystrokes: This isn't pure science, and it's stretching a bit to call this sort of planning applied science. Plz enjoy game.

It's worth noting that only going for hard clears in lr2 can be counter productive and limit your progress. I find that the best way to improve is to push yourself while not intentionally mashing, even if that could give you a better score. There's no one-way ticket though - don't always just play the same way. You can go back to training accuracy and consistency sometimes but I think you should mainly focus on pushing yourself if you want to improve
