Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon: This was fairly low budget for a kyoani show with lackluster background detail in many areas, but it does keep the humor of the series. Probably a safe solid watch.
Gabriel DropOut: Doga Kobo doing what it does best, solid execution of CGDCT. Admittedly they changed the order of some of the chapters to introduce everyone straight away, but that is an acceptable change, esp for something as episodic as this
Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 2: As silly/stupid as always. Nothing really changed from S1, so if you didn't like it then, you wouldn't like it now.
Kemono Friends: I think this might win the award for worse show of the season with bad CG, horrible background details, lack of humor, and willingness to show empty pointless screens.
ACCA: 13-ku Kansatsu-ka: An extremely slow and not very well animated drama. Exactly what I don't want.
Piace: Watashi no Italian: Another lackluster short with unremarkable characters, low quality stills, and a weak appeal to food porn.
Urara Meirochou: It feels like a lackluster moe show. It is sort of funny, but the jokes sometimes feel overused. On top of that, the divination sections aren't usually funny, so it leads to periods of boredom killing my attention. I'll give it another shot for now.
ChaoS;Child: (There is an episode 0 that is a recap of Chaos;Head. If you read the series before, feel free to skip it, esp since it is not animated as well as the 2nd half. Recapping an entire VN in 23min is not exactly helpful, but it is not bad if you want a refresher course. However, I'm not going to include that in the first impressions) Episode 1 was pretty amazingly animated, but on top of that, the lead up to the murder was incredibly scary for me. I am fairly impressed that the show did that (admittedly I am easily scared and not a fan of the horror genre). The suspense, mystery, and thrill feel pretty realistic to me, so I definitely want to try watching more.
