I just had the most amazing idea. Taiko No Tatsujin (Not the 1st arcade, the NEWEST) Katsu-Don update was amazing, but it's only avaliable in Japan. BUT,
what if it was ported to Japan? Here's some ideas:
1st, there will be a language system, Japanese or English. Each one has it's own songlist. The Japanese one will have the usual unlock/songlist, and English will have whatever NAMCO BANDAI comes up with. I hope not some crappy songlist. I would play the Japanese version, because I'm a fan of the Japanese. They would also have the same voices in Japanese, others in English. Pretty much all that stuff.
2nd, porting over Banapassport to the USA. We need that in order to do unlocks for costumes, songs, and also customizing Don or Katsu (1P or 2P). If we can't do that, chances are this would only be avaliable to arcades with cards for it, such as Dave & Busters or Incredible Pizza (now called Hammer's Food and Fun).
3rd, the arcade cabinet. Of course it would be the japanese title, but there would be english descriptions like the songs, and everything, + Japanese descriptions too. I practically want it to look nearly exactly the same as the Japanese cabinet, but with some english stuff on it.
4th, the unlock system. No matter what language you play, you WILL unlock something for both. Like it'll say: "Saitama2000 unlocked for Japanese! Look for it the next time you play in Namco Originals!", or something by that nature. Costumes will be unlocked for both, because I don't want to get seperate costumes for each thing. That would be sucky. You'd also have the same colors and everything, like usual.
5th, the ranking for songs and stuff. The intro would be the usual japanese/english thing, depending on what language was played last, or at random. After the intro and no one has played, it will show the most played song, Like 3rd ^ Haya Saitama2000, 2nd V BGM1 (whatever else was there), 1st - EkiBen 2000. Like that. And the ranking system would be for ALL languages combined, japanese names + english names on the ranking board.
6th, updating and starting. You'd have the same PS3 interface when booting up, kat left = scroll down, kat right = scroll up. Hitting either don areas will load it. Updating would require a certain thing, like opening up a certain area which is locked by a key, which is possibly a PS3 controller area, which allows you to go to the Options arcade menu, which does coin options, updating, etc. There would be a USB area for where you can plug it in with the update files. And when fully updated, the cabinet will restart back to the PS3 interface. The controller would also work with the menu. And to restart the console with your options, there would be RESTART CABINET/CONSOLE in the options.
Finally, 7th. A new feature idea: Replays and Recording. Once you slot in your tokens and hit the drum to start, it will ask with a Don with a question mark above it's head if you wish to record your gameplay. There will be a USB slot below the player's coin slot (1P left, 2P right) where it will save a video file (avi, mp4, whatever they use) for uploading to YouTube or other sites. Also, before the ranking screen, a random song will be played with a Non-CPU replay. The player's name will be shown, along with the words DEMO - INSERT COINS or DEMO - HIT THE DRUM TO START.
Well, those were my ideas. If you have any comments, let me know. If this doesn't really BELONG here, let me know where to put it!
P.S. That was a long thing. Also, interested in what american costumes we might get! I will edit this post with any other ideas.
Wait, what?sHaDoWsN1pEr13 wrote:

All the English websites list it as such. I think the context is meant to be 'Do Re Mi Fa So La' Iro, though it could go both ways and be a wordplay.
There maybe a million of similar questions and @taiko_team chose yours. Nice job!crystalsuicune wrote:
OK so I asked taiko_team whether Junction is a sequel of Sports Digestdon
Their answer?
おお!良いところに気づかれましたね!直接の続編ではないですが、試聴してもらったらわかる通り、エッセンスはありますね! RT @crystalsuicune: @taiko_team "junction"は"スポーツ ダイジェスドン"の統篇曲ですか?
(yeah I know,I probably typed the Japanese wrong. But hey,at least they understand what I'm asking amirite)
Soooooo…it's not a direct sequel per se…Hmmmm
