Try it on Hataraku2000 for both osu!Taiko and the DS, and start mashing the shit. You'll notice the difference
Dunno why sometimes a standalone note comes, I know clearly it's a don, and then I hit kat.

Hmmm... it is true that mashing is not really an option in osu!Taiko, (the gauge just drains even faster orz) and that mashing the hell out of hataraku on the wii gets me much better scores on the DS/ osu

The other thing is that the hit window for PD is fucking retarded. Mash the long stream of Gekishou on PSP and then the same stream on PD. I don't know about Zekira (since he's so pro at these things lol) but I failed the PD chart because the window was just so god damn strictZekira wrote:

To clarify, my bro plays PD2 Extend most of the time and I rarely touch it but I decided to give Gekishou a whirl anyway to check out the chart similarity lol

You have to use the shape buttons and the corresponding D-Pad buttons for input. tl;dr this makes the left-right thumb coordination weird as hell, eg for streams of O you have to push O and right on the D-Pad instead of left, making it asymmetrical.
Also notes fly in from all over the screen so the game says 'fuck sightreading let's just confuse the hell out of you'
