Basicly you can choose your mode (which you play most/now) preferation in your settings, then it will show up on your profile for example if you choose Taiko it will show a little Drum icon.
Also in the game there should be 3 more tabs on online users. Just tabs like rank but then 1 tab for Osu! only preferation, Catch the beat and Taiko. This will make it easier for players to communicate and spectate.
