So you're playing a map with a custom hitburst skin. Suddenly you look up and notice you didn't 300 a note, but you don't remember missing one because every single hitburst was white or pink or some stupid shade of blue. Or you're doing a long stream and you have no clue how accurate you are because all the numbers are on top of each other and you can't tell the difference between the 3 and the 1.
When osz2 comes out, we will hopefully not be able to disable this stuff to use our own custom skin--We should have to play the map the way the author intended, because beatmaps are beautiful works of art. However, hitbursts are too important to skin with ONE guideline (maximum size). They need to be different colors too.
Rather than posting in the guidelines thread, I'm posting here for discussion and if anyone has support kudos left. Clearly it doesn't bother some people to essentially play without hitbursts, because there are still a few maps which are being ranked with all gray (usually a dark/black theme) all blue (a water theme) or all pink (a cherry blossom theme) hitbursts.
