I disagree. With both of those mods, you are removing key parts of the game (either the aiming or the timing/clicking) and therefore should not be rewarded pp, even if it significantly reduced. It does give beginnes a sense of achievement, but will only push them down a path where they are taking the easy route and not improving their skills to actually gain pp
