I know I haven't been active when I said I would, and this is exactly the reason why! I was behind the scenes using the osu! mainframe to create an Elite Beat Agents 2 video series! Just to skip my gloating, here's the song list of what I want to do in the future:
1. Smash Mouth - All Star (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_jWHffIx5E)
2. Ray Parker Jr. - Ghostbusters (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvkKX035484)
3. L'Arc~en~Ciel - DAYBREAK'S BELL (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPeOizUOZlc)
4. Katie Perry - Firework (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGJuMBdaqIw)
5. Muse - Unintended (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9LOFXwPwC4) [sad song]
6. [Unconfirmed]
7. Cee Lo Green - Forget You (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKxodgpyGec)
8. God Knows... - Hirano Aya (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSNDRgs4KCc)
9a. Jimmy Eat World - Pain (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaP6KgwbOvo)
9b. Viewtiful Joe - Brighter Side (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NM53Fln3hu0)
[Bonus Songs]
b1. Michael Jackson - Thriller
b2. deadmau5 - Ghosts n Stuff
b3. Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley
The links to the side are to give you a taste of the song if you do not know it already. Also, song 6 has to be any Japanese song which, unfortunately, I do not have yet. Suggestions, please?
People with keen eyes will notice that the song list contains Japanese songs in it as well as English songs. What? Japanese songs in the all-american EBA game? Well, listen to my (original) story!
The series takes place well after the events of the first EBA. Agent Spin, J, Cheiftain -- every agent is a legend now. They were the only ones who warded off the threat of music extinction. Now, a new rookie, Agent N, joins the EBA in hopes to also become a legend. His skills as an agent, however, are not the best, but he does show progress. While saving people of their problems, something is going on in the other side of the world in Japan. The "agency" over there, their Ouendan, isn't exactly getting all of the attention they used to, as the EBA can tackle problems all over the world. In order to get their hype back, the come over in order to replace the EBA with their own agency. The newcomers, now Japanese Anti-Agents, take the style of the EBA, specifically the suit and tie. They do stick to their cheer moves as they do not feel the hip dance moves like the EBA's is good enough. Will the newest member of the EBA stop these Anti-Agents? Follow the series to find out!
Pretty cool, huh? To create this series, I use anything in my range. Any limitations that I come across stop me in my tracks; there is nothing I can do about them. I need volunteers for this, and, well, the people I know might not want to do it. I'd have to say that 99% of them are not familiar with the Ouendan/EBA games, so they might not participate in my work. However, I am determined -- I will try to create these videos whether they will be popular or not. I don't need the opinions of someone else to stop me from creating what I want to create. What IS based on popularity, however, is the bonus songs system. Like I said before, it's a secret...
I bet you guys are just craving (or criticizing) what I just said here. So, without further adue, I present to you:
Stage 1
Day off gone wrong!
Procrastination's turnaround!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBZBrROQ6B4
Stage 2
Fight Back!!
A Bully's Nightmare!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNfVdJSlms4
This first video may have small flaws, but I'm still learning how I can make it better. The programs I'm using are a bit complicated for me since I don't have classes for these products. The dancing can also be better. The more I create, the more I will learn as I continue.
Comparing it to the real game, here's what I have and what I'm missing:
Relations:
Accurate Elite-o-Meter
Accurate Hit Markers, Sliders, and Spinners
Dancing Background (While "Yes" Agent N dances; while "No" Agent N stops)
Storyboard
Combo Shouts ("Hey!" and "Yeah!" and "Woo!" and "Yahoo!")
Future Commander Kahn Figure
It lacks:
Dual Screen Simulation
Agent N Arriving to Scene (I don't know how to drive lol)
Tutorial
2 Other Agents Dancing Behind Leader (can't find anyone)
Story Explanation in Video Format (if you don't read this thread, you won't know it)
During "No" the Camera Does Not Zoom Into Face
I am currently working on improving future projects. I would like for this to be as accurate as possible. This project heavily relies on volunteers. I can do the Stage 1 video alone, which I did, but it would look awkward for all songs to have the same character in it. If I don't have actors, then I will be forced to cease production. So far, I do have actors for Stages 2 and 3, so those WILL be made. Will I have more actors in the future? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
