mouse/tablet, objectively speaking which one is better?

I guess there's probably already a thread like this but I honestly couldn't find it.

So if you look at it objectively, which of the two is a better pick to play with?

I can't get used to using a tablet due to settings and pen/mouse mode so I use a mouse, but I have to say that a tablet seems better. It's easier to control movement and spinners can be done in small circles more easily

The mouse is what I prefer, it's very accurate and easy to use, though, it can be hard to get high RPMs on spinners.
The tablet is said to be harder to master than the mouse, though it's very fast and agile once you can use it properly, it's easy to get loads of bonus points off spinners with a tablet.

Depends on the user really though, everyone is different.

I guess so, I just did a few with the tablet and mouse mode really isn't working out for me, though I managed to do a hard beatmap on 97% using pen mode (for anyone using a tablet, I would really appreciate if you could tell me what works better, I'm guessing pen mode but it seems a lot slower)

The mouse is a better input device to play with because it tends to have more accessible triggers, which is a necessity in a lot of games.

For example, when playing Bioshock 2 (thanks again, strager), I mapped the mousewheel to weapon shift, and my Back/Forward buttons (MOUSE4 and MOUSE5, respectively) to plasmid shift.

The Intuos3, which is the tablet I use, only has two buttons, and they need to be in close proximity to the tablet to be registered. This means that you need to have the tablet pen hovering or touching the surface of the tablet at all times, and this can become surprisingly tiring over long periods of time. The mouse allows you to rest your hand on a solid surface.

Not to mention playing FPS games with a tablet is incredibly disorienting. It's not too bad for Starcraft, though, as long as you don't right-click.

I agree with awp mostly, for osu! tablet just comes naturally to me, but I wouldn't dare use it on about 90% of games. However I love using tablet for just pc in general using the internet and whatnot.

Really? I always thought spinning on a mouse was much faster than on a tablet. I don't have a tablet so I wouldn't really know xP

Yeah, I get like, 30% more on a mouse than a tablet ;_;
