How would you make a redpoint?

It's getting kind of frustrating that I've been looking through several posts and the beatmapping FAQ yet I still cannot find out for the life of me how to make a redpoint. Yes I know it's supposed to be a double click but that does absolutely nothing. It really doesn't. Is there an option I'm supposed to turn on or something because I really cannot make a redpoint. I've tried double left clicking, double middle clicking, double mouse 5 clicking, some keys... and nothing works. :/

You're talking about making a slider, correct? If so, here's how to make a slider:
  1. Start with a left click to place the first point (head/beginning) of the slider.
  2. Then, place your next point with a left click. If you wish to make this point red, then left click this same point again.
  3. Repeat with more points until your slider is complete.
  4. Finally, finish the slider with a right click to add the last point.
If you wish to change points on a slider after it has already been made, you can click on the slider. Then:
  1. Right click on a point to remove it.
  2. Hold down the CTRL key and left click somewhere along to slider to add another point. Then you can adjust it to fit.

Thanks a lot. I for some reason thought the redpoint was added after you finish the slider. Brain fart. xD

Well, you CAN add a redpoint after the slider is made by dragging one point onto another, but that's besides the point. :p

Also worthy of note is that attempting to delete a redpoint (we in general call them "nodes" rather than "points") with rightclick will instead revert it to the standard bezier node.
