About the spinner thingy, imma quote the wiki.

"Spinners should be used sparingly in Easy difficulties - generally ends of mapped parts before a break and the entire song. When using a spinner, make sure the length is fairly long. 2-4 measures is a good guide.
The reasoning is because most new players are going to react slowly to a spinner, so there's a delay in starting them. Then they will also spin wildly, usually drawing along the perimeter of the screen. Once the spinner is complete, they will be most probably disoriented and wondering where their cursor is. This is the reason why if you have a spinner in the middle of a mapped phrase, you should allow for as much time as possible for recovery. A good rule of thumb is 3-4 beats after a spinner, but this can vary depending on BPM. Mappers are also encouraged to place notes/sliders within the center of the play field once a spinner has ended."

i think letting it follow the music there is very important and flow is imo perfectly fine D:

00:08:178 (4,5) - try to make your blankets as accurate as possible, especially in lower diffs its important. you could also say that this untidiness gives a kind of charm to your old-fashioned map but ye idk
00:08:626 (5,6,7) - technically this isnt a DS issue but visually you see that 00:08:626 (5,6) - is way closer than 00:09:969 (7) - . I recommend you to make the DS also visually equal
00:13:999 (3,1,2,3,4) - maybe you want to make that pattern a little cleaner with http://puu.sh/rQZyK/7084e7f04f.jpg (zig-zag-pattern).
01:00:567 (3,4,5,6,7) - same thing here
00:16:686 - at that beat a whole different section of the music is starting, so i recommend you to make it clickable (in the best case with a slider) to emphasis the beginning of a new section

first of all IMO the slider velocity is waaaaay to fast for a normal diff. just look how slow you are with clicking 2 or more circles in a row and how incredibly fast you are with following a single slider. That speed change is the worst for nice flow, and its actually the most confusing thing a newer player can experience because it feels awkward and some kind of wrong.
00:40:865 (7,8) - is the only stack you are using in your diff. Looks pretty random to me if you have just a single stacked thing (which isnt recommendable in normals though) and not some kind of consistency
01:02:805 (3) - the slider ends in the completely wrong way than the next object is, this can be really confusing (in your highest diff you used a ton of that, i really dont recommend that because it just causes random misses -> some exmaples in your highest diff: 01:02:805 (9) - 00:22:954 (1) - 00:26:648 (8) - I think you get me now :D

Okay.., I think thats it for me. Im sorry if you expected more but im not really experienced with old-fashioned stuff (im more the blanket, clean pattern and flow person though). I wish you best of luck because nowadays you rarely see this kind of stuff although its incredibly fun to play.

  1. Diffnames should show what is this diff, for example Easy, Normal, Hard, Insane. Your current names are not showing anything. it mostly looks like random names because Geso! Geso Geso! etc don't show anything. You can combine default names and your and make sth like:

  2. you also have to add combo colours too every diff.
  3. you have to place hitsounds on every diff.

Everything fixed and shitty hitsounds added because cancer ranking criteria says so.90% of people have custom hitsounds off anyway,because they are dumb fucks and imo the hitnormal i HAD was perfectly fine but well....

same with NC like i mentioned above and tbh,i dont see ANY reason why i should change ds...this song is 268 yes but why should be it same like every other normal then ???? why not let this be one of the very few harder normals and harder easy !?!?!??!!?!?!?!?!?!

[General]
- We've already talked about the mapset being inspired by Mafiamaster's and regarding the copy paste, so I won't tarry on this point.
- Though, I would really suggest you change the background to something different.
- Also, since the map has a similar second part, the mods will also apply to the first part of your second part, albeit flipped.
- Your BPM is doubled. Halve it (you can increase slider speed so you don't have to remap.)
- Make kiai time same on all diffs.

00:24:745 (6) - The slider shape looks ugly IMO.
00:30:119 (1,1) - Your missing out an opportunity to use more complex patterns here by merely using two repeat sliders. Not to mention this is the "end" of the verse, so a more complex pattern would also play well.

- The hitsounds actually make this map more confusing... Some of the notes are clearly audible, while others aren't. When you mix them together, it plays really awkwardly... For example, at 00:05:939 (1,2) - you can hear the claps at the red ticks, but on the next section at 00:06:723 (4) - you can't hear it, making me confused as if I clicked a note. Then you decide to skip 00:06:947 and just continue to 00:07:059. It plays really jarringly.

00:10:865 () - The transition between the previous combo and the next slider is weird... I think you can remedy it by adding a note here.

My point stands tho, but I'll do my best to expose it in the best way I can.

While I was playing the map (Dou Degeso! diff) I really felt like I was playing Mafiamaster's map, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against getting inspired on a mapper to shape your own style, but this goes far away of that. It's clearly seen that other than you trying to do a "mafiamaster like" map, you mostly just copied his patterns (blatantly seen on 00:48:813 (1,2,3,4) - as the shape of the sliders is the same as his map, but also seen if lots of patterns that just seem moved, or sliders that are re-shaped (and honestly, I think the way you re-shaped those sliders could be way better, lots of beauty on old maps comes from their minimalistic, yet clean slider art IMO).

I also linked this example because it's true the song is kind of unique, there are some places where you are just forced to do x or y pattern and that's the same as mafiamaster, but those examples are few compared to the whole map and that example gives away that this isn't an issue of the song, but of the mapper.

The only parts that I didn't really feel like you were copying Mafiamaster were 01:13:999 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - , it's true that it "fits" to the rhythm, but it's a pretty simple solution, and I think in this kind of parts is where you should have took a look on how Mafia tackles them.

The result is that we find (I know I said it before, but I don't think my first comment was toxic or ill-tempered at all) something that looks like a fan version of the Mafiamaster's map, like you took the original map and started replacing things, as honestly, I can't think otherwise after seeing this



Object count is more or less the same, SR, even settings are almost the same. It's very hard to not think you just did that with this map.

I feel like ranked should be (even if it may not be sometimes right now) a place where polished maps with good flow and a defined style end, I can understand that this map's intentions is to "tribute" Mafiamaster, but it doesn't really get to that but more to "copy" him.

My honest suggestion is that if you are really going for rank this, you remap it, look at the map with other point of view, and see what you can do.
If you finish it, feel free to call me for a mod, I'd absolutely love to see a proper "mafiamaster inspired" map.
