I really like the way long cursor trails look.
Yes and no;
If you raise the cursor size there will be more samples and they will be spaced closer together (don't quote me, I'm not 100% sure this is correct, but it does have the effect you are looking for),
but then you have a huge cursor.
So, I believe you would have to scale down the cursor and cursor trail images, then raise size ingame.

If you use a really small cursortrail image it will appear as an (almost) solid line.

The minimum size is 5x5px if you have a cursormiddle, and 1x1 if you don't, I believe?
