Hello,
i would like to ask for an informational feature . similar like this.

Making it basicly show the lowest , and highest Slider Velocity similar to BPM.

My reason for this feature , is accessabillity:
From what i noticed , Many new players , Or heavy "flow" map oriented people . Simply cant build a logical connection towards those sliderspeeds.
And since Slider has its own "AR" to be learned people ignore this type of map or RQ it , when they dont understand it.
This doesnt need to be , since its just halting progress or creating weird anger. towards those type of maps
Naturally mapping those types of sliders are creating good maps . That make sense .
Wich is why i love Sliderspeedchanges, similar to change of AR in mania . to bad that hasnt be done with overall AR yet.

However , my possible concerns on this are that it would possibly shift more towards "degeneration" of mapping of such sort.
Similar like it used to be in mapping where 5 star was the highest , and 4,5 even a common display.
Once people understood it , way more easy PP maps got created. so that knowledge got abused in a sense.
6,42 Star Freedom dive for example was 4,5 stars back then.
Whereas the term "insane" maps would allow you to have 5 star maps . and extra 5 stars aswell. however the difficulty gap is huge.
But since Sliders are not going much into the PP calculation its less of a concern here.

i do like your idea but how exactly would you call it to make sense Slider Velocity (SV) like this or Slider Speed Change (SSC). But I`ll support you. Because I would love to know what are the speed of the sliders are. :) :D

I'm not sure if the values will mean anything to players. A sliderspeed of 3.60, what does that mean? It's the highest SV possible without modifiers. And how different is a 3.60 SV 170 BPM map to a 1.80SV 340 BPM map? Not at all, since SV is related to BPM

Measure it in Slider px/ms then. 1.0 px/ms is around as fast as Black Hole Pluto and 0.4-0.6 px/ms is usually the norm for 4* maps. The values are not made up by the way.

Just open the map in thebeditor and analyze how they wirk. Once you're able to understand a couple of maps you'll notice the logic behind it.
Overall this feature wouldn't add much of help anywa, since some values on a screen mean nothing at all once you start playing: how can you tell where they will appear and how fast they will be in comparison to other SVs?

You don't need to know where they appear. You just need to know that there are sections where you will be required to move the cursor fast across some substantial distance. In regards to how fast compared to other SV, see my previous post.

i dont like this... do you really need such technical information to play?

I would love to be able to search or pick maps by their slider speed.
