I know peppy mentioned this on IRC at some point, but I don't think anything ever happened about it (not to my knowledge anyway).

But anyway, the thing is that I'd like to be able to connect to IRC so it doesn't broadcast joins/quits at all.
This is mainly for the sake of being able to connect using my phone without having to write an IRC client myself since I can't get mibbit to work on it, and also a little to save bandwidth.

My status log from mIRC, which is where all the joins and quits go, is 701MB large, where #osu is only 17MB in comparison, going around one month and a few days back.

So uh, pretty please ?

You realize you can turn the join/quits off right? Most clients let you do that

Let's not break the IRC protocol any more than we already have. And:

Most clients, yes.

Take a moment to either think or actually read the post, please. Either way works.
Why do you think I typed "being able to connect using my phone without having to write an IRC client myself" ?

But well, it's nice to at least have it denied this quickly, I guess.
