- The game mode used will be Head to Head and Scorev2.
- Staff are allowed to play with the exception of the Host, Organizers, and Mappool Selectors.
- The tournament will be double elimination (losing once doesn’t mean you’re out for good.)
- Mappools will start out with 6 nomod maps, 3 HR/HD/DT/Free Mod maps (3 each), and 1 tiebreaker.
- From the quarterfinals onward, the mappool will include 8 nomod maps, 4 HR/HD/DT/Free Mod maps (4 each), and 1 tiebreaker.
- Only active players will be accepted at the end of registration (active meaning your profile doesn’t say “This user hasn’t done anything notable recently!”).
- First round seeding is based on overall pp of each player.
- If a player is unable to play their match, they must notify an organizer AT LEAST 48 HOURS before the match is scheduled. If a reschedule is not possible it will count as a loss for the player.
- There will be 2 warm-up maps played per match, picked by the 2 players who !roll the highest.
- This tournament uses a life system to decide match outcome. Each player will start with a set number of lives, and as players take turns picking, the last place player of each map will lose a life. Once a player is out of lives, they’re out of the match. The first player to lose all of their lives gets 4th place, second out gets 3rd place, third out gets 2nd place, and the last man standing gets 1st.
- 1st place and 2nd place players move on in their bracket, and 3rd and 4th lose. This means in a loser’s bracket match, 3rd and 4th place are out of the tournament, and in a winner’s bracket match they drop into the loser’s bracket.
- In rounds leading up to the semifinals players will have 2 lives. (First 3 rounds with 64 players, first 2 rounds with 32.)
- From the quarterfinals (RO16) onwards, players will have 3 lives.
- In the Grand Finals match, loser’s bracket winners will have 3 lives and winner’s bracket winners will have 4 lives.
- A rematch of any map played will be allowed if all players agree on it, and a rematch will be forced if the problem was confirmed to be caused by bancho.
- Any player who fails to show up to a match in the first round will receive a loss for the match.
- Any player who fails to show up to a match after the first round will be disqualified from the tournament.
- If a player notifies a ref or other staff member in advance that they cannot make their match and it is too late to reschedule, they do not get disqualified, however they still default to last place in their match.
- If a player forfeits during a match, they effectively lose all of their remaining lives.
- Referees cannot play during the match.
- If a player fails during a map and revives before the end, it counts as a pass.
- If a player fails during a map and does not revive before the end, it counts as a fail.
- A fail will be counted as 0 score unless multiple players fail.
- If multiple players fail, the one who failed with the lowest score places last.
- For Freemod maps, players may choose any combination of Hidden, Hard Rock, Flashlight, or Easy. Players are not required to select a mod until the quarterfinals.
- From the semifinals onward, players are required to select at least one mod for freemod maps.
- All general osu! Rules apply, and breaking these rules will potentially result in disqualification. This especially applies during match lobbies.
- Intentionally delaying matches without asking specifically for a delay will result in a warning, followed by a loss or disqualification if it continues.
- You should be able to play at least 5* maps.
- No cheating (lol)
Match Procedure- A referee will create a lobby with the name “OMC: Match X”, where X is the match number.
- The referee will invite all 4 players to the lobby.
- Once everyone is in the lobby, all players will roll. They will then move into the corresponding slots to their roll. (Highest roll goes to slot 1, second highest to slot 2, etc.).
- The 2 players who rolled highest will pick warmup maps. These need to be under 4:00. Mods may be forced, however if none are forced then free mods must be enabled.
- After warmups are finished, each player will ban one map. The bans will start with the player who rolled lowest and end with the player who rolled highest.
- From the quarterfinals onward each player gets 2 bans.
- After bans are concluded, the player who rolled the highest will pick a map from the designated pool.
- The second player will pick a map, then the third, then the fourth. After this cycle concludes, the FOURTH player will pick again, and picks will move up the line.
- After each map finishes, the player who placed last will lose a life.
- After a player loses all of their lives, they will leave the lobby, or they can stay and not play any subsequent maps if they choose (if they do this they must move below slot 4 in the lobby).
- This continues until 1 player is left.
- In the event that there are 2 players left, each with 1 life left, the tiebreaker map will be played.
In the Event of a No Show- If 3 players show up, the match is played normally, with the missing player defaulting to last place. This also applies if there is a “bye”.
- If 2 players show up, the match is still played normally, with the higher seeded missing player defaulting to 3rd place. If any player notifies the ref in advance that they can’t make it, they get 3rd place over the other no show.
- If 0 or 1 player shows up, whoever gets 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th is decided in the same way as above. The 1st and 2nd players also do not get disqualified from the tournament.
