well out of curiosity, is there's gfx card that can Run OSU over10000fps?..
5000~6000 fps is the highest I've heard that osu run, but there's no proof..

my system only ran at its peak reading 2594FPS @ 800x600 Reso (1470+ FPS @ Native 1080p) @ Overclocked HD 5750

If there's someone who owns a ATI HD 6990 or a Crossfired ATI card or NVIDIA GTX 590 or Nvidia Quatro or SLI'd cards or any High end Cards
a screenie would be great..

Put Osu @ windows mode, then go to Options >> Maintainance then put your mouse outside for more fps..
IppE
probably, but what good would that be?

Also its AMD Radeon HD 6990, the ATI brand is no more :3c

I feel sorry for your CPU and GFX card fans.

GFX is well fanned, reading @ 53C something while doing this..
they won't burn out unless I did something wrong
...

so no one yet has proof ._.

Of course, but it takes power. Let's start an osu!@home project so people can donate graphics power!

Only have a 480gtx.
This is fullscreen btw.
aevv_old
you get higher fps on the fail screen of easy maps, went from 2.8 in options to 4k, yamato go take a ss there on low res :( gtx 260 here

Waryas
I get higher FPS fullscreen than windowed and higher fps with 1280x800 than a smaller one or bigger one -_-

I get higher FPS when in windows mode and Mouse cursor outside than Fullscreen..
I can't hide the cursor when in fullscreen

How is this really 'running osu! @ X FPS' if you're going to the least-populated parts of the games/menus

That's like saying "Oh lets see at how many frames per second my computer can draw a few shapes and bitmaps, oh, this means it's running osu! this fast"

Also, I'd like to see your 5000Hz monitor and eagle-eyes to make out the frames.

currently breaked my previous record..

can your screen do 5000 fps per second? :D
karta454515
My old card is only 200 fps lololololol

I wanna buy a GTX590 someday.
Fabi
But.. but.. it EXPLODES!
Hiyorin
....I'm lucky if I hit 50 fps.. OTL

how about 2 bios?
How will it be?

I...I...

I mad.
Ijah_old
I can get 700 FPS on average.

I SURE AM HAPPY NOW THAT I CAN WATCH A STILL SCREEN AT 4000 FPS, ANY LESS WILL MAKE MY EYES BLEED BECAUSE THE NONEXISTENT MOVEMENT ON THE SCREEN WON'T BE FLUID

haha still so funny xD

Only 1549 FPS. ;_;

THIS IS SO FREAKING SLOW! SERIOUSLY, I CAN BARELY PLAY WITH THIS SUCKY FPS!!!!!!

you should be grateful, i only have average 400 FPS (1.400 FPS for some reason lol) try using Fullscreen
Hyguys
200fps naturally~
Kodoshi
you all should be grateful, my average without sb elements, skins, background etc is 200
DJNightmare
YOU ALL SHOULD BE GRATEFUL, my average is also 200fps, once storyboard is added, i'm still actually O_O lucky enough to get a nifty 60 fps...
Azure_Kite
To be honest, that fact that osu! would be running at 4-6-10 thousand frames per second isn't really that relevant.

The computer may be chugging out that many frames, but your monitor will only be displaying 60-120 frames anyways.

this is for benchmarking purposes not "can you spot the difference between osu running 120 fps vs. 10000fps"

Benchmarking on OSU...GG kid...
If you want to benchmark try using 3D mark instead of a game which takes a on board GPU to run it -.-

worth waiting 1month to read

I can barely reach 3,000 FPS with my "old" 8800 GT :(

higurush
I've got max 2603fps but only when I'm loading all my maps. Otherwise it's 300-1500

Radeon HD 4670 512MB
1280x960

Any sense in going over 120 fps?
Waryas
Limiting to 120fps doesn't really give enough different frames (it outputs 120fps but some of them might be duplicates) to your gpu so i still feel some kinda lag (approach isn't smooth enough), unlimited gives me a smooth image and don't say it's a placebo effect cause i sometime feel it's sluggish and when i check it i see that i set it to 120fps instead of unlimited.

The thing is your screen most likely only goes up to 120Hz if even that (LCD's are usually 60Hz or 75Hz) so there is really not much difference.

I get this with 120FPS. Plus, it's not actually EXACTLY 120 FPS, so there's still tearing, and it's a bit jittery in general.

The problem is that when I go unlimited, for some reason my mouse inputs feel a bit laggier than it does at 120FPS. In CtB the inputs are faster, but not for standard. Plus, the framerate won't be consistent, as my laptop can barely make 120FPS on standard osu!. So there'll be times where it feels a lot laggier than others.

Also, my max is about 600 FPS at 640x480 on the maintenance tab. If I change the language to Japanese, the framerate falls to 580 ._.

Yes but 120fps doesn't actually give 120 real fps (non duplicate) to my 120hz monitor. I need to use unlimited for it to be smooth
bapae
why does it matter anyway since your monitor can only show as many frames per second as its refresh rate is so if its 75 it can only display 75 FPS max. anything over that is going to cause tearing thats why theres a thing called Vsync.
Mesita
the trained eye can tell the difference between 60 fps and 120 fps, like also 60hz, 60hz vsync, and 120 hz. This also applies to 120 fps and unlimited fps. So to that kind of people it is a big difference playing unlimited rather than 120 fps.
