Help me fix my laptop

I've been using my good ol' Acer Aspire 4520 for about 2 years or so. Recently, my graphics card turn buggy as sometimes some elements aren't rendered properly. For example, when I try to play a map the song can't be loaded. Sometimes the song can be played but the hp bar goes up and down for no reason. It also happens in other games so I didn't post in Help and Support. I already updated all my drivers but it's still the same. In addition, when I'm trying to record a gameplay. Any game, the laptop turns off all of a sudden. Help? Thanks in advance :)

EDIT: Sorry the text aren't formatted well as I'm posting this by phone orz

EDIT2: Okai now the BIOS can't even show up. I asked Rokodo about it. I actually suspect it's the VGA; because I actually checked it on other forums.

Maybe it's just the card physically something happened to it and it's malfunctioning

Get a new graphics card...
Unhelpful but looks like the best option.

The graphics card is most likely integrated so he'd have to replace the entire motherboard or laptop

It works. But within few minutes it occurred again.

I remember hearing a funny thing about gfx card that had similar issues, guy ended up taking it to pieces and baked his card. fixed it. Not that i recommend this :D

i'd say 65 is high if its idle. :3

Try opening it up and cleaning out the fan cooling exhaust thingy. My old laptop had serious heat issues because of dust buildup.

For once i have to agree with Shiirn, a laptop i had to fix for a friend had the exact same problem, but this one would kill itself after about 10 mins of playing osu!, I then noticed the fan wasn't spinning due to a massive clump of dist actualy STOPPING the fan from spinning :3

Moral of the story, Clean your fans and heat-sinks regularly :)

I've never ever cleaned my fan in my entire life and it still runs faster than all of my friends with the same shitty ass (school laptop program) laptop, even if they're trying as hard as they can... Of course, they don't really know the right way to maintain their computers but...

I can't recommend opening a laptop unless you know what you're doing.
Some laptops require a bit of violence due to those silly plastic hinges, others require you to take the keyboard out first, and as a general rule, every screw has its own place, and you'll fuck shit up if you place the wrong screw in the wrong place.
I once wrecked the case of a 10.000 DKK laptop during my time at Dell because of that one.
There's also the whole thing about how you're most definitely breaking warranty and stuff on it. It's two years old, disregard that.

I can, however, recommend cleaning the vents out with a can of compressed air.
Although, be careful not to blow any air through your laptop like that for a long period of time (read: any longer than just small bursts of it), because the fan(s) will break as the bearings aren't built for that kind of pressure.
So keep it to small bursts and you'll be fine, since you can't really keep a finger on the fans to stop them from going crazy.

But yeah, don't go opening your laptop unless you know what you're doing. Either get a friend who has some experience with stuff to do it, or pay someone to do it, because unfortunately, laptops are a lot more complicatedly (read: stupidly) built than desktop computers, which people seem to forget a lot.

I run osu! on an IBM T43 which I've had since 2005 and it runs absolutely fine ;).

^this and I suggest you get the poor thing a cooler and change the battery, if you've had the same battery for a while.

It straight up sounds like an overheating issue. Get a cooler. Another other person might have said this already but im not gonna read the whole thread. If you have everything properly updated just blow out the fans with compressed air and get a 10 dollar cooler off ebay.
