Most people probably don't know I'm doing 4 languages already...

English, Chinese, German and Japanese.

I'm doing these for linguistic purposes and only do them mainly for the grammar sections. This time, I want to try a language of the Romance origin and am not sure which is the best to do. So I've created a topic to help me decide.

Note that I probably won't do this language for a while, it just helps to decide which might be better for me in the future.

So, what do you think guys? And no, I will NOT do Latin.

Though it is a Romance Language...not sure if it's common...I do have a primary school friend that speaks Romanian whom also lives next to me...

Lol no, just kidding. Romanian is an absolutely useless language and I don't find it that appealing too. If you want a useful language, then absolutely Spanish, but if you want a more appealing language, then probably French or Italian.

I know 4: English, Italian, Spanish and Hindi. Due to the people I grew up with, I owe it all to them.

Ignore the poll and learn French. If you want chicks, then French. If you wanna seem intelligent, then French. If you wanna be recognised, then French. C'est tout Francais.

I'd say Spanish. Why? Because it's the second most used language after English of course.
I'm fluent in French and to be honest it's not a big deal. Besides I've always wanted to study Spanish, but I've never got the chance...

btw, I'm fluent in 3 languages and I'm currently studying Japanese :lol:

suggestion: if u think u're extreme enough, why don't u try learning some Slavic language :D

Spanish would be the most useful to learn, then maybe Italian.

French is useless and will always be useless.

Oh dang. I am way behind. Only Indonesian and English under my belt right now, and learning Mandarin and Japanese now. When I've got all 4 down I'm planning to do Spanish or German so yeah. Spanish gogogo.

All 3 Languages are...interesting for me. If I could, I'd love to learn all 3 but I don't think my mother will be very impressed with me.

Yeah I'm gonna go against my Canadianism and say Spanish, it really is the most useful out of the three (unless you plan on moving to Canada. Or France).

I like how I understood part of that sentence. At least 4 years of German hasn't completely gone to waste.

More like almost all of Italian*. Yeah, economically Spanish would be better, but even though I speak both Italian and Spanish I still say French. It's just beautiful.
