It looks like he plays with 4:3 aspect ratio Area but still has 16:9 resolution... How does he do that?

Just got an answer on reddit.

"Save this to your computer then move it to your skin folder: https://puu.sh/qJphj/4a74a91d93.png

It works on 1920 by 1080 for other resolutions you may need to adjust the size."

"maps are in 4:3 format, he can also play in 4:3 osu res"

So he just uses that background.
