You are a horrible man with a heart of stone. This is great animation and the game itself looks fantastic.

2d animated cutscenes on consoles scares me lol despite the quality. very big points for how the gameplay animation is however.(and one of the Japanese commercials >.>)

I was truly disappointed with the lack of lulz in the cutscene though. I thought wario was all about accidentally doing something that ends up getting himself screwed over then he ends up inadvertently saving people in the process of fixing his screwup. On the other hand, Wario's character was all about moneyz and there was moneyz to gain.

Or Perhaps i need to play the Wario Land series again.

I loled, hard, then i was sad because i realized maybe my expectations are climbing too high again.

Idiot, that cutscene looks great. No, you're not entitled to your own opinion. <_<

Nah, he's all about the money. Note how he didn't want to do anything until money was thrown into the story.

well I'm back after actually getting sleep. Something about that cutscene just isn't clicking with me though. maybe its because of the amount of time its been since ive actually played a wario game.(outside wario ware) I guess it gets the job done though. provide a story so Wario can torture himself to save someone get treasure.

Wario: hot stuff, baby!

It's kind of silly to bash a cutscene just because it's hand-drawn. And it's even sillier to compare this to the CD-i.

That said, this, Mario Galaxy, and Twilight Princess (And the pantomiming in The Subspace Emmisary) makes me wish Nintendo would take a hint from Metroid and add fully spoken dialogue in their games.

On the one hand, I do agree that voice acting would add another layer of immersion and would be a welcome addition to many of Nintendo's games. On the other hand, I don't really trust NoA to do voice acting remotely well, given that most of the English voices in Nintendo games so far sound like random people they pulled off the street. Something like this or a Paper Mario game would be a good place to test the waters for voice acting, though, since the Saturday Morning Cartoon look would make cheesy voice acting somewhat more acceptable.

Nintendo won't do it. They know these same people will do a 180 if they add voices and complain about it, no matter how good they are.

Its sad that samus doesn't talk, she has a VA and she sounded fine in brawl.

Shes probably the only Nintendo character i would like to see have VA.

MP1 and MP2 were fine having silence because nobody talked. In MP3 they gave other people voice actors i felt like they could have given samus some dialogue since they kinda changed the mood of the game into less of an, your stranded on your own kind of feel.

I prefer Wario be about silent comedy, the cutscene had very little :(

It's kind of Nintendo's thing to be language-barrier-friendly. I imagine SSE in Brawl would have been much more in-depth if there was dialog, but the only phrase spoken in the whole of it was "Showtime" - apart from that everyone just grunted and made noises, ahh, ooh, hmm, oh! yehoo.

It seems weird and juvenile but after Mario 64 I think we all just got used to it because that's how the main Nintendo franchise is.

The day Link talks is the day Nintendo ends.

SSE cinematics, not gameplay
YoshiKart
This is also why everyone loves Link's old "SKRAAAH!" up B move. =P

That's the good thing about not having VA. I own the Japanese version, and got through SSE without any problems(Didn't really know what to do when I started the final level, but it's more entertaining to figure that stuff out yourself). :3
