Apart from that there's no round tour, not all newbies are able to find the chat function button instantly. Even I had problems at that time. But that's not the point of this thread!
Since a while ago, I'm following the chat in #osu from time to time. I noticed that newbies are looking for their countrymen and are assigned to their channels by moderators. In my view, for the majority of the people, the little yellow "+" in the chat bar isn't as noticeable.
So, it should be a function to show newbies at the beginning of playing osu! the channelselect. They could arrive better.
