Well, apparently you can only upload beatmaps with a file size of <24 MB
Is there any way around this if you are making a marathon map? Maps like paraparaMAX or Doomsday's ZUN Medley have larger file sizes and were uploaded correctly. I really don't want to lower the mp3 quality (it's already at the required minimum for approval - 128 kbps).
If it's impossible I guess I'll just give up the map (didn't map that much yet anyway) but since it's some of my favourite music I would be really motivated to actually map this~

/E: Apparently, this also bugged the BSS. My userpage now says that I have submitted the beatmap and it has a webpage (http://osu.ppy.sh/s/27522) but the download doesn't work (well, duh, it was never uploaded) and there is no forum thread.

Naming the difficulty "Marathon" will allow you to upload slightly larger iirc, but I'm not sure of the exact limit. I'm also not sure if "Marathon" is cap sensitive (i.e. "Marathon" may work while "marathon" may not). Could you give some more details on the map (e.g. total filesize)?

Since that download is broken, I'll delete it. Try uploading the map again with the difficulty name changed and let me know what happens.

Thanks, looks like it IS case-sensitive. I capitalized the "m" and the upload works now (gonna take a while until it's finished, though~).
Now I'm a bit confused because paraparaMAX is called "marathon" with a small "m" but I guess as long as it works now I've no reason to question this :D

Things were different in 07-09, so that explains the difference. :p Glad to hear that it worked, and I look forward to the completed map if/when you finish it! (hint: my sig)
