SH and XH grades

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, I mean the silver S and SS grades when the score was acheved with the Hidden or Flashlight mod enabled.

I just wanted to know why this is a thing. I mean there is no difference between the regular S and X Grades, so why have it in the game?

Why do I keep Playing this Game?

Probably because it changes how you read the hitobjects, e.g. Fade In instead of Approach Circles for HD, memorization for FL. HR, EZ, DT and HT don't drastically change the way you read a map.
