In Ouendan, the "danger" section of the lifebar usually starts when you're down to the last 3/8 or 2/5 of your energy, and the screen zooms in on your peoples. I know that much. But there's also a "!!" section when you're very close to failing (at about 1/8 or 1/16 of the bar left), where the screen zooms in even further, onto the center dude's face.
Summary It'd be more faithful to the game if you set up the "!"/"!!" meter and stuff.
