what do you like in a song?

so i have an older brother. He likes bass and basically only bass. to him only bass matters, he does not care for melodies or lyrics or vocals, only bassline.
That made me wonder what do you guys like in a song, do you like bass like my brother or do you like everything in a song or maybe vocals and how does it affect your music taste?
i myself like everything, and if songs have elements i dislike, i dislike them.

I don't know.. I just like everything in a song, as long as it sounds good.
But the bass in Kasabian's songs is always epic.. that's probably why I want to learn to play the bass. Chris Edwards is such an awesome bassist.

The bassline in this song is perfect

love music that provides an atmosphere to blend in.

a lot of songs just, they don't represent anything or bring out any meaning, or are spoilt by the mainstream.

and ofc as of @Jukke, if there are elements that is not in the preference, then the song will be disliked.

I can't say I "like" anything in particular but, I'll almost always like tracks that have a nice atmosphere. Anything that can give off a mood. I also just realized that I'm indifferent towards repetition so, there's that.

sure thing, melody is one of the most important things to me
vocals are weighted a lot too
i dont like "hard bass" even if have powerful subwoofer its bass is tuned to the lowest
