I don't think this is something that happens a lot but when I join a match with host rotations, the host privilages sometimes goes to an afk player which ends up with everyone having to leave that lobby. Maybe something like this would be helpful:

Generally, couldn't you all leave if the one being afk is the host and couldn't you kick out the user if he isn't the host?
The concept itself isn't wrong, but imo you can already check if someone is afk or not by asking him something in chat.

Also, from what I know the user panel (the one appearing when clicking the username) should turn black (afk) after 3 minutes the cursor didn't move on the screen or the focus on the osu! window has been lost (eg. doing something else while osu! is open, always after 3 minutes) so idk what this feature could be useful for since you can really already check that, even if it's not showing directly in the lobby.

If you click on their name, don't you see their panel? If it's black, they're AFK

As the above posters said, there's already a way to see if they're active.
