Favorite anime music piece for me would seriously be Butter-Fly from Digimon Adventures, which is why I'm mapping it again (TV Size though). Both the way it sounds and the beautiful lyrics just click with me.

Okay, I would add this OP into my favorite :3

I haven't watched a good chunk of the older shows, so all of these are from newer series.
Opening: Tie between "Moon SIGNAL" (Otome Youkai Zakuro), "only my railgun" (Toaru Kagaku no Railgun), and "Yakusoku" (Senko no Night Raid) (I needed a male vocalist xD)
Ending: "NO, Thank You!" (K-ON!!)
OST: Strike Witches 2 OST (all because of Sweet Duet)

Damn I remember watching the OP vid of that a few days ago when the commenters over at the commercial of a japanese orange juice called "Morning Glory" said that the orange rain in Madoka Magica was Morning Glory, haha!

I really like reflectia from true tears, and tears infection by kaori from myself yourself. ^^

Finally have an OST answer. Well, several.
It's a tie between .hack//SIGN, Cowboy Bebop, Toradora!, Wolf's Rain, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Hashimoto (Toradora!) doesn't do nearly enough, and Kanno (Bebop, Wolf's Rain) and Kajiura (SIGN, Madoka) are all-stars for a reason. They are all very talented composers and go all-out on these soundtracks, creating masterpieces within the realm of soundtracks.

My faves are the .hack//SIGN songs, ALL of them are pretty good by the hands of Kajiura Yuki.
But also I love another genres like Death Note songs by Maximum the Hormone, and Nightmare.
