Good choice, I loved that game. First one was good too. Repair Powder just pissed me off on a regular basis.Ivalset wrote:

I loved the CC system that Graces used (currently playing Graces f as well, just before L&L final boss), graphics-wise, I agree Vesperia's better.Justykanna wrote:

I play all the Tales games with my sister (who is usually the protagonist) and the CC system definitely benefited both of us because A) She usually spams skills and runs out of SP quickly and B) She doesn't evade a lot so with the CC system, I could spam heal her. CC system kind of backfired in that sense because unless the boss battles had adds (such as Kurt, who we struggled mightily on), the battles are too easy.Crescent- wrote:

Yea camera's annoying sometimes, though i usually use Pascal and have the camera on the enemy, so not much of a problem for me since she needs to be around enemies anyways (barring Celestial Eight/Bloodflamme). The enemies are supposed to be easy, the difficulty really spikes on some bosses such as Kurt and the boar on Mt.Zavhert anyways. Have you challenged the Rockgagong btw?Justykanna wrote:

So while I liked it, I preferred SP.
Graces f had a giant down on camera work. My character would get cut off the screen because the AI would sit at the opposite end of the arena and I'd be at the other beating on the enemies with no chance to guard and evade because I can't see them. -_-
It's different when you're not playing with someone. We have the camera set for the enemy but it still tries to sqeeze in everyone. -_-Crescent- wrote:

Tales is my favourite RPG series, Vesperia being my favourite. I played Abyss for N3DS and I felt it to be slightly overrated. All the skills active at once is a little OP and Luke's voice actor pisses me off. I think my 2nd favourite Tales is Dawn of the New World... partly because I'm a Marta fan. xDDefiantzz wrote:

That was such a great game! I spent soooo much time into it. My sister in law actually has had the second game but I never got around to playing it.
Yeah, I heard the first one was much better but I also heard it was different. Different =/= worse.Cytex wrote:

Ah, someone actually plays Xillia ; - ; (awesome)blissfulyoshi wrote:
If I have to name the best RPG I played so far, it will have to be a tossup between Xenoblade Chronicles and Tales of Xillia (there seems to be no Xillia love here)
Tales of Xillia: One of the few Tales of games that provided me with some difficulty that was still fun, albeit some of the ways used to increase difficulty were absolutely stupid (I can't combo a boss for more than 10 hits....what?). Still, the final boss's dungeon, fight, and character were all great, and probably created my favorite Tales of final boss to date. Beyond that, standard Tales of fare with a few things I wished were improved (ToG sidestepping, ToG hi-ougis, a more flushed out secret dungeon), but I can really look pass those because the main story line experience felt amazing. (I actually haven't played as many tales of games as I should, and the ones I have are sort of a weird set. Played: ToP, ToE, ToS, ToS:R, ToI, ToH, ToG, ToX, TotW3 (no RM))
Huge Tales fan here but Xillia is not out in North America yet, which might be why it hasn't been mentioned. At least from me.Aoriki wrote:

Xillia's apparently suppose to hit North America sometime in 2013... Apparently.Aoriki wrote:
I know how you feel, Kanna. I wanna play the NA version but I kinda wish they brought out ToV for the Ps3 so I can finally say "ToV is the best game....yeah"
But me being a big fan of the Tales series, best series for me would be ToP, ToV, ToS, TotA, and ToD.
Symphonia was my first and I actually wish they kept the Unison gauge - I really liked that. I've only played five Tales games but I've yet to be disappointed with any of them.Aoriki wrote:
Phantasia was the very first Tales game I've ever played. Took me at lest some 100 hours to get to level 70 and with the items I should get, summons and magic skills just to defeat the final boss.
Vesperia took me the same amount as you did, but not 100% complete. (Trying to get all the achievements, goals, items, etc etc etc) and If I remember correctly, I did read about that, someone not bringing the game to NA when the guy who voiced Yuri said he was voicing some parts for the game. So, not sure what to believe.
Oh yes, Troy did a an excellent job as Yuri. I'm actually pretty sad that we won't have a chance to try out Patty or Flynn in the PS3 version. Even thought we did have Flynn for a bit during the 360 version, it still wasn't enough. I really wanted to try out Patty cause she a little girl with guns! Who doesn't like that combo?! But with the extra's they added and including some new parts; We will never get to see it or even try it out. (Sadness)Justykanna wrote:

With Vesperia, I spent most of the time with the unskipable extras and synthesizing every item in the game. We (my sister and I) missed a few things and skipped a few others (we didn't bother with the arena and anything that really only included one player at a time).
Troy Baker voiced for Yuri and was amazing. =) I don't think I've heard that reason for not bringing the PS3 version to North America though. Could be true. We just know the PS3 version won't come to us, which is a little saddening.
My sister wanted to use Flynn - she used Repede in the XBox360 version. I doubt either of us would have used Patty.Aoriki wrote:

Symphonia was one of my favorite games for the GC and finding the PS2 version is kinda hard to find (to bad it wasn't in english) The ending battle (and the music) was interesting.
I use melee in any game I play... literally, any game that involves combat. xDAoriki wrote:
I enjoyed using Yuri, Rita and maybe even Judith in Vesperia. in Symphonia; It was ether Llyod, Collete, and Shina. I can't even find Abyss for the PS2...sadly ; - ;' but I did found it once and I didn't have the money in time! kinda made me upset.
It's more annoying when I hear people going around saying how good it is, who import it or something. =/Professor Prinny wrote:
