Skinnable notification sound from while tabbed out

I think it would be nice to skin the sound you hear when people mention/message you while you're tabbed out. For most they'll put a nice personalized notification sound, but for others they can leave it as blank so they hear nothing (basically the same as disabling it without having to turn your effect sound down to 0)

It already exists, it's called match-start.wav . Yeah, sounds like a multiplayer thing, but this sound is shared between the sound of when a multiplayer match begins and the sound of a chat highlight, or notifications.

I've tried that on Stable/CE and it doesn't change the sound at all. Can anyone confirm that match-start.wav changes the notification noise from when tabbed out? You can message me ingame and I can help help test

Tabbed out as in using the boss key? If so, there's no way that will be possible.
If you're just minimizing the tab, match-start works.

Tabbed out meaning literally alt+tabbed into a window other than osu!

Edit: Maybe a better description is that osu! is not the focused window

I apologize for the late reply but match-start.wav works fine for me when tabbed out of the window.
