I was just wondering if there could be an option where the hit sounds of the circles would make their sounds no matter if you hit or miss on the perfect timing. Sort of like how the clap option works on Stepmania.

idk

Open2jam (an o2jam emulator) has this feature called 'autosound'. Autosound in open2jam works like this:
  1. Play all hitsounds perfectly in sync with the music in a separate channel
  2. Mute the hitsound channel after missing a note
  3. Unmute the hitsound channel after hitting a note
This would be a godsend for anyone suffering from high audio latency. My macbook has over 150ms of audio latency. Hitsounds make the game unplayable on my macbook. Autosounds or disabling hitsounds are the only solutions for these audio latency issues.

I think it can actually be rather confusing, since it sounds as if you're right in timing, while you actually are off quite a lot, though I can understand the need for it, looking at Drojoke's post

While mapping, you can make an osu! to play some additional audio files, by adding them to [Events]. Now, I have an idea.

Maybe there could be an option for a player that, with just a click (or even automatically, if marked in options), would convert all hit sounds into an audio file, that would be played along the song?

Or something similar to this, I bet it can be improved :)
