Solo play is much more enjoyable offline when I don't have a constant reminder of my stats. I'd like to be able to chat with others and gain ranks in the background while retaining that offline experience.

you can already do this if you skin selection-options.png. just add a black bar to the right edge of it and it will cover your stats. about 500-700px long should do it
