When skinning gameplay elements, complete sets of elements must be skinned. For instance, if you skin hitcircles, you must include a hitcircle.png, hitcircleoverlay.png, approachcircle.png, and a slider border color (this can be done by adding the line "SliderBorder: 255,255,255" (using RGB values) under the [Colours] section of each .osu file). The same logic applies to hitbursts, cursors, numbers, and anything else of this nature. If you didn't intend to skin an element in the set, then using the templateskin's version is okay. Setting a SkinPreference is also acceptable (e.g. forcing the default skin).

They most likely being reworked atm by ranking criteria friends(c), tho someone was a bit rapid to remove sets listing from the wiki. So it would be nice to get clarify how they (skin sets) should be treated at the moment.

I see it refering to sites linked here:

These pages have all skinnable images sorted in tables representing a set divided into gamemodes for easier access.
What could be done is listing the links to the pages again.

Give me some minutes and I add the listing.

I was researching this in a while in the forums and I use this page as a reference since the skin elements of that wiki is outdated.

With the change of how the Ranking Criteria Subforum works from now on, topics like these are obsolete. This topic is already being handled by the council.
