I don't think it'd be super hard to sync the pack data online with some in-game implementation, and so server load and all that technical stuff shouldn't be a problem either. I hated trying to play packs song-by-song or by making new folders in the root /Songs folder, so being able to sort in-game would be marvelous.

"osz2" fffff I'll deny this as a duplicate for the time being, but the request will NOT be forgotten about (since there's obviously support for it).

DAMN IT. I was looking to see if it had been made before as well.

Yeah, it seemed simple to implement to me because in the beatmaps, songs get CLEARED next to them when played in osu! so I thought there was some sort of sync already going on there.
