source is searchable ingame, why not genre as well?

It will already be added here upon ranking. If you mean really specific genres, I doubt many people will be searching 'indietronica' or the like.

Oh, and some people already do it. Feel free to do the same yourself.

i knew it was there....i was talking about ingame tags. like if i randomly feel like playing a spanish song i just search for spanish. just like any other tag/source/whatever

Doesn't need to be added to tags, but I'm pretty sure there's already plans to let players search by language/genre in-game (I just can't find the thread orz).
