I'd say you change the audio to 80% throughout the non-kiai part of the song. If a part of the song is higher than 80, change it to 70 or so. I'd say some parts that are already modified are actually fine, no need to change.

Since the song has an extremely upbeat chorus, It's obviously better to have a sudden blast of sound. But if you get your hands on more custom hitsounds, you could probably use it to make your chorus more lively.
